My two high school kids and I are taking our 2018 34' Jeanneau to Hawaii in 2022. I raced double-handed in the 2004 PacCup on a Wyliecat 30. My kids have sailing experience in the bay and other locations but zero offshore experience. Everyone will have completed the safety at sea seminar. The boat will be well equipped with sails, electronics and all safety gear but it will be one of the slowest boats in the race. It will take us 15+ days most likely and hope to make it there before the awards ceremony.
I am looking for offshore experience. I would love to earn a spot on a crew for the race, but I am also interested in other opportunities. If you need crew for practice ocean sails, OYRA races, 150 mile qualifier, or the return delivery, I would be interested in talking to you. I have my own gear and Safety at Sea certification. I sail regularly in SF Bay and lakes in my own and friends boats in races and for fun, front and back of the boat.
I am willing to work in preparation of a boat for the race, I am handy and good at organization/coordination.
Former Canadian Freeski Champion with offshore sailing experience. I raced dinghies during my youth as a high level and competed in both Canadian Nationals and US nationals. I now have 4 years of keel boat and offshore racing, primarily on the foredeck, but also in the pit. Willing to do anything to gain more experience. Thanks for the consideration!
Hello all, I’m an experienced offshore sailor looking for a crew position at the next 2022 PAC CUP.
I have my Safety at Sea and First Aid qualification. Comfortable on any boat. Calm and comfortable offshore.
I have been racing in San Francisco Bay for over 10 years. Have crewed in Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race and delivered the boat back to Melbourne through Bass Strait. I raced in multiple Rolex Big Boat Series, Antigua Sailing Week, Heineken Regatta, Mexorc, etc.
I am a 56 yro, fit, sailing enthusiast looking for adventure. I’m a non-smoker and drink alcohol rarely. Next year, 2022, I will be retired from my medical career (RN) and wanting to crew in the Pacific Cup (a race I’ve always wanted to do, but did not have the time). I have experience standing watch, trimming, sailing by compass, using navigation equipment (GPS, AIS, Chart Plotter, Radar, etc), dead reckoning, as well as some general boat maintenance. I’m responsible, respectful, tidy, hardworking, calm and a good listener.
